TK / Kindergarten Teacher

My name is Amber Pirrello. This will be my first year at MCA and I am super excited to be teaching TK/Kindergarten. Last year I had the opportunity to substitute in several of the classrooms at MCA and fell in love with the sweet students and staff. I am looking forward to officially joining this awesome team.
I graduated from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelors in Elementary Education and have 15 years of experience that ranges between PreK and Second Grade. My husband and I have been married for 16 years and have been blessed with two awesome kids. In my free time, I love hanging out with my family, cooking, snuggling with my dog and working out.
This year is going to be amazing! I look forward to meeting all of the MCA students and families.

JACLYN ALVAREZ

Older Twos / Young Threes Teacher

My name is Jaclyn Alvarez. I live in Cherokee county with my husband and 3 kids (2 boys and a girl). Although I have a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition from Life University, caring for children has become my passion. I have spent the past 7 years at home caring for my own 3 children. Working as a volunteer over the past few years in the schools has sparked a love for the classroom.
In my spare time I love to be outdoors with my family and our two dogs. I also love gardening and hanging in my yard with my chickens.

JANINE DZYUBANNY

PreK Teacher

Hi! My name is Janine. I am a wife, a mother, a Jeep enthusiast, a camper and a creative artist who loves to craft. I have been a Preschool Teacher since 2014. I absolutely love what I do! I think early education is so important and I am really happy to be teaching little minds. I also love where I work. I started teaching at Messiah Christian Academy back in 2020 and it quickly became my home away from home. I love how MCA is one big family and I am blessed to be a part of it!

JEN FRANTZ

3's Teacher

I am a Teacher in the 3's room. I started subbing at Messiah about 5 years ago and eventually became an Aide and then a Lead Teacher. Working at Messiah has been such a blessing. I have worked at many Preschools before, but I can honestly say that this school is very special.
I grew up in Charlotte, NC and went to college at ECU, where I met my husband. My husband and I have been married 20 years and have 2 wonderful kids and 2 dogs. Our daughter is going to be a senior at Sequoyah and our son is going to be a junior. Both of our kids play soccer, so I am the biggest soccer mom ever! If I'm not at a soccer field, I enjoy hiking, camping, traveling and just hanging with family and friends. We have lived in Canton for almost 15 years and absolutely love this community!

JEN SICK

PreK / TK Teacher

My name is Jennifer Sick and this will be my 7th year with MCA. I have a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education from Millikin University and have taught Pre/K -1st grade for over 20 years. My husband Steve and I have been married for 20 years, and we have lived in the Hickory Flat area since 2003. We have a 16 year old daughter, Julia, who is a rising junior at Sequoyah High School. We all love the outdoors and spend most weekends at sporting events or exploring the beautiful Georgia mountains.

JENNY GUTMANN

School Assistant

I am Ms. Kristen’s Assistant and work primarily in the office. I help with carpool in the morning, which happens to be one of my favorite ways to start the day. Occasionally you may find me in the classroom when needed. I absolutely love Messiah Christian Academy and feel very fortunate to have had my daughter attend here for two years before beginning public school! I feel blessed to work with an amazing Director and Staff, wonderful MCA parents and students! It’s such a loving environment to work and learn in.
I am originally from Florida but have lived in Canton for 14+ years now and gladly call it home. I am happily married and have three wonderful children, two sons, and a daughter. My oldest is attending college at the University of Miami, GO Canes. My middle is a senior in high school and my youngest is finishing her last year in middle school. When I do have some free time I enjoy crafting, reading, and just spending time with my family.

MCA has been a part of my life for nearly a decade. I knew the moment I walked into the doors to tour the school many years ago that this was a place filled with love and extraordinary joy. Little did I know that God planned for this small community to become my extended family! Throughout my years here, God continued to guide me in my passion for teaching children, my commitment to creating a family environment within our school, and He has provided an abundance of faith, love and fellowship with these incredible women who are a part of this school. I am very fortunate to be here with the MCA Families and their precious children who we are guiding through their preschool journey.
I have been married for almost 30 years to Jon Moran. We are natives of Cleveland and Pittsburgh, but Georgia has been our home for over 14 years now. God has blessed us with two beautiful and amazing daughters who are both Graduates of MCA. Sabrina is an 8th grader at Creekland Middle School, and Charlotte is a 5th grader at Avery Elementary. I look forward to continuing God’s work here as His faithful servant as we prepare these children for the next big adventure in their lives!

PreK Teachers Aide

I am a Teachers's Aide to both PreK classes. I really enjoy working in a Christian environment. The women I work with pray for each other and support each other every day. Of course I enjoy working with the students - MCA is a wonderful learning environment. As an Aide, I help the Teachers in the classroom with whatever they need. Doing Circle Time with the kids is one of my favorite activities during our days.
I grew up in Stone Mountain, and went to UGA. I have two Degrees - one in Business and one in Early Childhood Education. I taught school for three years until I had my first son, then was a Stay at Home Mom. I loved working with kids, so when my boys grew up, I decided to go back to work in a school setting. MCA has been my home away from home for over 10 years. I really love what I do!

SHANNON DIXON

Twos Teacher

Hello! I am Mrs. Shannon, I teach the 2 day, 2 yr olds in the Busy Bee classroom! I love MCA, the nurturing and loving atmosphere is amazing. You can feel it as soon as you walk through the doors! Each child truly is valued for the individual person they are and who they are becoming.
I have been a Canton resident for 18 years and have been married to my husband for 20 years. We were blessed with 3 children (all teenagers now!) and I chose to be a stay-at-home mother. When my children started school, I volunteered my time in their classrooms helping where needed, and volunteering in the school libraries. My time volunteering in the schools led me to become a Cherokee County substitute teacher for 4 years until I joined the Messiah Christian Academy team. I believe in teaching with a lot of play-based learning and positive reinforcement, and I'm looking forward to working with you and your children this year.
